According to a recent study led by Kenneth Furton of Florida International University and published in the journal PLOS ONE, it is possible to predict someone’s sex using the profile of scent compounds on their hand.
Dogs have long been used in criminal investigations to accurately identify and locate suspects based on their odor. However, despite the fact that the field’s evidence of human scent is well-established, scientists haven’t made much headway in their laboratory analyses of individual scent profiles.
