A reliable tool for assessing the magnitude of clinical benefit reported in trials for oncological therapies is the European Society for Medical Oncology ( ESMO )- Magnitude of Clinical Benefit Scale ( MCBS ). The ESMO – MCBS has only been approved for solid tumors so far, though. We sought to create an ESMO – MCBS version that is specifically created and validated for haematological malignancies in light of the quick development of novel therapies for these conditions.
